Zoe has been a professional actor for 20 years. She first started her training at Mount Royal College in the Theatre Arts Programme for two years and continued on with her studies at The University of Victoria. She was fortunate enough to be a student that was working professionally. Her training included Shakespeare in the Park, Calgary and the Gaslight Follies in the Yukon Territories. She jumped into song and dance with JACQUES BREL IS ALIVE AND WELL AND LIVING IN PARIS before departing Victoria. Zoe began touring soon after with shows that were performed in elementary and high schools across British Columbia and Alberta. Azimuth Theatre and Quest Theatre introduced her to the joy of working with young people. This led her to the wonderful theatre community in Calgary. She stayed on for several years there in which she did five consecutive seasons with Theatre Calgary. These shows led her to The Manitoba Theatre Centre and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Some of her credits there were HAMLET, IF WE ARE WOMAN, CYRANO DE BERGERAC and two years of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. She also found a terrific comedic family in Stage West Calgary in which she performed LEND ME A TENOR, OUT OF ORDER, RUN FOR YOUR WIFE and OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS. Zoe is also a proud recipient of the ALBERTA MOTION PICTURE INDUSTRY AWARD for BEST ACTRESS for her work in the short film LIP SYNC. |
